Shimano Cranskets

There are few things on a bike as distinctive as a crankset (also referred to as a chainset). A chainring the size of a dinner plate is certain to draw the gaze of a passing admirer on a road bike. Shimano offers a number of different cranksets for different disciplines, budgets, and use cases. There’s options available as a single-chainring (or 1x), double-chainring, or less commonly these days a triple-ringed crankset. Whether you’re a road rider, mountain biker or gravel explorer, browse our range and enhance your drivetrain with one of Japanese brand’s distinctive cranksets.

Hollowtech II Enabled

In its top tier products Shimano utilizes its proprietary Hollowtech II technology. Hollowtech refers to the lightweight hollow crankarm, created by the Japanese brand. To increase stiffness, Hollowtech II integrates the bottom bracket axle with the right crankarm. The result is a crankset that offers a balance between weight, strength, stiffness and overall rotating performance. Look out for Hollowtech II technology on Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105 and GRX products.

Crank It Up

Why not take your cycling up a gear with a top of the range Dura-Ace crankset. Ridden by pros across a number of WorldTour teams, this is a crankset intended to eek the most out of every pedal stroke. If you’re a keen racer, or simply want to maximize performance without breaking the bank, look no further than the Ultegra range.

In its latest ranges, you have the option to combine a crankset with an industry leading power meter. Used to great effect by professionals of the WorldTour, a power meter combined with a Shimano crankset is an excellent way to add power to your training and racing.

Off-Road Riding

If you prefer to keep your cycling off road, Shimano offers capable chainsets here too. The XTR range is the top-tier model, that’s lightweight and ideal for racing. Like to mix up your rides with a bit of road and gravel? Then the GRX range is optimized for doing just that, with its gearing range intended to be able to cope with more varied terrain.

Whether it’s a crankset to see you through the rigors of everyday or riding, or something for tackling the most grueling of races, there’s bound to be something in the ProBikeKit range.
