Token TKC50 50mm Carbon Clincher Wheelset 2015 - HG Enduro Bearings - Shimano

The latest version of Token’s C50 carbon clincher offers many of the same benefits as its siblings, the T55 carbon tubular and C55A carbon clincher with alloy braking surface. The new 50mm aero profile sits right in that sweet spot of aerodynamics versus handling, so you’ll find it easy to control even in crosswinds and the rim has been widened from 21mm to 24mm providing better rigidity. Firing up for sprints is effortless thanks to the TBT bearings inside the Arsenal hub which are designed to minimise rolling resistance. The C50 has the added benefit of AVT to dampen impact and reinforce the overall strength of the wheel without compromising on weight. Finally, TgX epoxy and specially designed brake pads for carbon rims ensure that extreme temperatures created during braking dissipate quickly preventing any damage to the rim.

AVT (Anti-Vibration Technology)
Token have fused a top-secret material with carbon to create AVT (Anti- Vibration Technology). Weight for weight, AVT is eight times stronger than steel, resistant
to high temperatures, fatigue, impact and the corrosion from chemicals or saltwater. Token cast a layer of AVT inside of the rim which gives you a super
high tensile strength wheel and significantly reduces vibration.

TBT Bearings
TBT Bearings (Tiramic Bearing Technology) deliver outstanding performance. Ceramic balls are 60% lighter than steel, extremely durable, smoother and accelerate
faster than their steel counterparts. The starting torque of Tiramic Bearings is only 74% of normal bearings while the turning torque is only 67% of normal
bearings. Both these factors significantly reduce chain drag making pedalling lighter and your ride much smoother.
